ABOUT JIMIT
Welcome to my world of movement, storytelling, and performance!
I am a performer, choreographer, and theatre artist with an ever-growing passion for exploring the power of expression through the body and stage. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working across musical theatre, contemporary dance, large-scale productions, intimate performances, and cross-cultural collaborations — each experience shaping me into the artist I am today.
My performance journey has taken me across India and international stages, from Mumbai to Vienna, Goa to Japan, performing in acclaimed productions like “Mumbai Star” (21 cities in Japan, Mumbai, and Delhi) and Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.” I've had the honor of being part of prestigious festivals, including the Serendipity Arts Festival, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Impulstanz Vienna, Jugnee, and The Hindu Theatre Festival, where I’ve explored new dimensions of dance and storytelling.
As an actor, I’ve performed lead roles in Yuki Ellias’ critically acclaimed productions “YATAGARASU” and “KEEP CALM AND DANCE”, along with being a part of “The Bose Legacy” theatre production. These experiences deepened my love for theatre and the intersection between movement, narrative, and emotion.
Beyond performing, I find immense joy in creating and curating. I choreographed and performed Bruce Guthrie’s “Every Good Boy Deserves Favour” and have designed over 80 weddings, sangeets, and corporate events, bringing stories to life through dance and movement.
Teaching and sharing knowledge is another integral part of my journey. I’ve conducted movement and dance workshops at institutions like the Future School of Performing Arts, ICMD, Vardha Studios, Tridha, and Wadia Hospital (kids’ movement classes). I’ve also worked with diverse communities, from training the Maharashtra Police Force and Mumbai Railway Police to leading movement workshops for the Indian Navy — proving that dance truly transcends boundaries.
I’ve also worked behind the scenes as an Assistant Casting Director at The Perfect Way (TPW) and contributed to large-scale productions, including assisting the opening performance for FormulaE Racing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For me, performance is not just about art — it’s about connection, transformation, and storytelling. Whether I’m on stage, creating choreography, or guiding others, I strive to inspire, move, and ignite curiosity through every project I undertake.
